A member asked:

Can stress contribute to chf?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Stress, particularly long standing stress can cause pertubations to our hormonal axis. This in turn has been shown to impact the inflammatory system. Elevated inflammatory mediators and other indicators of an out of balance inflammatory system are often seen in patients with congestive heart failure (chf). Anything that can reduce stress, can be seen as a positive cardiac mediator.
