Not long: With an experienced dental assistant taking a dental x-ray is very quick. The snap of a button and there is no waiting time with digital x-rays as there is no developing time... They are ready instantly.

Usually a few minute: Depending upon the skill of the person taking the xrays and the number of xrays needed, it can be 2-3 minutes up to 10-15 minutes.
