It depends: Hired caregivers are usually hired to help with activities of daily living, like bathing, toileting, dressing, cooking and cleaning. Some are live-in caregivers, others for certain hours in a day. They are not medical personal such as nurses. Nurses such as rn's and lvn's can be hired but usually at a substantially higher cost.
