Tight back: Worth a try, also meditation & possibly acupuncture might help. Also if pain persists, consult an orthopedic doctor.

May be: Yoga can be beneficial. Make sure to start out with a beginner's course if you have not done yoga before. Acupuncture, acupupressure, heat therapy and massage may also be helpful.
