Immune response: In sensitization the immune system has recognized an allergen as foreign to the body & developed an elaborate mechanism to rid itself of the substance on re-exposure. Sensitization involves processing of allergen by dendritic cells that recruit t lymphocytes to instruct b lymphocytes to make a specific class of antibody, ige class, against the allergen. Ige binds to mast cells. You're sensitized.
