Slow reintroduction: Try reintroduced milk in small amounts on one day after the first birthday. If the allergic reaction was severe, please discuss with your pediatrician. Food panel testing recommended. Follow up with your pediatrician. Watch for signs of respiratory difficulty.

How diagnosed ?: If the kid simply had a rash or digestive issues with milk it may be reasonable to offer after a year. However, true milk allergy is rare & a screening blood test for IgE reactivity to the cow milk antigen may be important.If the kids IgE is high & indicates a true sensitivity to milk antigen I would want any effort to re-introduce milk guided by an allergist & done in the office.
