A member asked:

What medicine to treat pco-s?worst are hirsutim and pain.40year, smoker, 62kg, "normal"testosteronlevel in blood, cykle okej but painfull, hairloss head.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

?PCOS. Check thyroid: How have you been diagnosed with pcos as you have regular menstrual cycles and are not seriously overweight. If you have been labelled purely on hirsutism, this is doubtful. With a normal testosterone i would guess the hirsutism is constitutional. Painful menses needs evaluation to exclude endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, adenomyosis. Smoking forbids bcps ?Try motrin/ aleve (naproxen).Check thyroid.
