Do i need rhogam after amnio if thereis not indication of bleeding?

Yes.: There is only a small chance of having bleeding enough to cause isoimmunization (your body forming antibodies to your baby's rh positive blood) with an amniocentesis, but if it were to happen, the consequences for future pregnancies could be devastating. So we do recommend that rh negative women get Rhogam after amniocentesis.

YES!: Regardless of whether bleeding occurred during or after amniocentesis (or not) Rhogam is indicated to prevent even minimal feto-maternal hemorrhage and sensitization of the mother to the fetal blood antigens with subsequent severe consequences for this and future pregnancies. If you are rh-, get the Rhogam shot immediately after the amniocentesis!
