No.: There are many reasons for an abnormal serum screen - the main being wrong pregnancy dating. Invasive prenatal diagnosis is not mandatory for anyone as it carries risks of losing the pregnancy. Only you can answer your question after appropriate counseling to obtain all the pertinent information. Keep in mind that comprehensive prenatal ultrasound can help you get additional information.
