There are different: Trisomies: 21 (down's); 18 (edwards); 13 (pacau). Whatever your child has, I am sorry for your anguish about what to do. Down's children can HAV very meaningful lives, the is less true for the edwards phenomenon and picau where most are still borne and more than 80% are dead at one year. Find a caregiver that will listen to your concerns. You are the guardian. You choose. Not your fault. Sorry.

Difficult to comply : We live in an age where early detection of chromosomal defects is possible & ending a trisomy pregnancy before viability is possible.Asking a physician or staff not to resuscitate any infant newborn is likely illegal in your state & violates federal "baby doe " rules.A +blood screen should be followed by confirmatory studies. Make a decision when legal & don't place others in an untenable position.
