Anything: You could be having migraines, tension headaches or sinus headaches. Sometimes dehydration, lack of sleep/poor sleep, skipping meals, stress, sleep apnea/snoring or chronic sinus allergies can cause headaches. I recommend you see a doctor.

Occipital Neuralgia: This is a very common location to get headaches. There are two very large nerves known as the greater ; lesser occipital nerve in that region. Most commonly, these nerves are compressed between the muscles of your neck and the fascia, creating extreme pain and headaches. Good news, there are new advances to help this type of headaches with Botox or surgery. Have to rule out other causes too!

Basilar Migraine: Usually arises from the compression of the greater occipital nerve in the back of the neck. The nerve becomes entrapped in the muscles of the neck. It can be decompressed and for significant pain relief. www.themigrainereliefcenter.com.
