However, if it is expanding rapidly or is large, then there is the danger of it rupturing, which could be fatal. Treatment for AAA: There are a number of both open surgical and "endovascular" methods to repair aaas. Have your doctor send you to see a vascular surgeon who is trained specifically to fix them.
