Slowing down: Psychomotor retardation is a phenomenon probably most commonly seen in depression and schizophrenia. It literally refers to a phenomenon where individuals with one of these disorders experience a marked slowing in thinking process and movement. It is a symptom of the disorder and improves with effect treatment.
