May be none: Uncomplicated high blood pressure is often asymptomatic. There may be vague symptoms of headache and if the blood pressure becomes too high, changes in mental status. Most of the symptoms arise from the complications, e.g., heart failure, myocardial infarction, renal failure, stroke, peripheral vascular disease etc.
