None: The most common symptom of high blood pressure is no symptoms. By the time someone has symptoms such as headache, chest pain or shortness of breath, hypertension has been present for a long time. The only way to know how you're doing with your blood pressure is to get it accurately measured. You cannot tell how you're doing by how you feel. Because of this get your pressure checked regularly!

Hypertension symptom: Dull headaches, blurred vision, shortness of breath, headaches, dizziness, fatigue, or a few more nosebleeds than normal. Unfortunately, there are not often symptoms and that is why some refer to it as the "silent killer.".

HBP symptoms: Almost all with HTN have no symptoms till have stroke, heart or kidney failure, or heart attack or die suddenly. This is the reason it is called the silent killer. What we do know is that the higher it is the sooner you die and the greater percent of the time you live you suffer from CVD before you die. We know treating HTN makes you live longer and suffer less from CVD. If high get treated.
