A member asked:

What are the symptoms of an encephalocele?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on location: The most common encephalocele occurs in the frontal area from a defect in the anterior skull base where a defect develops and allows part of the brain to herniate through it. This is associated with meningitis, headaches, cerebrospinal fluid leaks from the nose, etc.
