Same as a stroke: A mini-stroke or TIA (transient ischemic attack) is a stroke. However, it is a stroke that goes away, in as much as a few minutes to as long as 24 hours. If a stroke persists longer than 24 hours, it is generally considered permanent, though most tias resolve in a few hours, and the longer that it persists, the less likely it is going to go away. Be seen immediately for a stroke.
