What are the symptoms of a deviated nasal septum?

Congestion: Typically the most common symptom is congestion. May be more on one side than another. Also can get dryness of the nose and sometimes intermittent mild bleeding from that dryness.

Nasal blockage: The most common symptom of a deviated septum is blockage of the nasal passages. This usually affects one side more than the other and never goes away. If you suffer from constant nasal blockage then you should be evaluated by a qualified ENT surgeon.

Nasal blockage: Difficult nasal breathing from one or both sides, and sometimes nosebleeds are the most common symptoms.

Deviated septum: A deviated septum is not an uncommon problem. It can lead to nasal obstruction, snoring and even sinus issues. You only need surgery if you are having symptoms. If there are symptoms like nasal obstruction, snoring or recurrent sinusitis, have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist.
