Variable: There are many types of neuropathies, with different presentations. Classical sensory neuropathies present with burning, tinlging, or numbness in the feet that creeps up over time. Other symptoms that may suggest a neuropathy are weakness, clumsiness, or trouble with balance, especially at night or when walking on uneven surfaces. This last symptom is due to loss of sensation in the feet.
