A member asked:

When should i stop co-sleeping with my new baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Never start: Within the usa we loose up to a hundred or more infants per year in co-sleeping settings. Whether suffocated by bedding or tangled therein, there is no reason for this preventable loss. Kids should sleep flat on their back, alone in a basinette or crib with no blankets or bumpers. The american academy of pediatrics has issued a warning about this practice. You can "love" baby to death this way.
