When is a good time to start finger foods for a baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Time to chow down!: A baby will usually let you know, but it is usually around 8 or 9 months of age when they have ability to transfer food from hand to mouth. Remember start with foods that are soft and can easily dissolve in her mouth; they usually don't have teeth at this age.
