A member asked:

My 6-month-old wakes up at least twice at night to eat. is there a technique to stop this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Absolutely!: By this age, babies should sleep at least 6 hours straight, so it's time to work on this. If he has plenty of breast milk or formula (and baby food) during the day, give him as much as he wants of solids and milk right before bed, then put him in his crib in his room sleepy but not asleep. If he cries, every 10-15 min. Go in and gently pat his back a few times and leave; if he wakes, do the same.
