Usually no: Zyrtec (cetirizine) is rated by the food and drug admistration as category b in pregnancy. Animal reproductive studies have not demonstrated a risk. There have not been well controlled human studies in pregnancy to prove safety in humans ( very few medications have been proven safe in controlled studies in pregnancy as few such studies are ever done). Avoid zyrtec (cetirizine) d in the first trimester.
