Yes: Babies make all sorts of noises, and they seem to get even louder when they sleep! however, all these noises tend to lessen as they get older. If your baby is grunting with each breath, seems to be in pain or struggling to breath you need to see your pediatrician. But the little snorts, grunts and moans are just a baby's way of figuring out how to make sounds.

Yes: Babies airways are rubbery (not firm like adults) and tend to vibrate with rapid air movement. This can lead to squeaks, grunts, honks etc. like a musical instrument. Baby is unconcerned that you might be bothered by a sound, they have no social memory of "approved" noises and can be quite noisy in wake or sleep state. Point out any chronic issue to your Dr at a well visit & it can be assessed.

Feeding : Usually the sounds are benign, but a recording may be evaluated by a pediatrician. Watch for signs of aspiration, choking, barking cough and distress.
