Wait for it: At 6 months that is normal. Turn off the tv and talk to your baby. Read to your baby. Your baby will watch and try to imitate the movements of your mouth and even try to feel your tongue and experiment making sounds. When he/she makes a sound you like you sounding approval will encourage more of the same.

Read to baby: Your baby is fine. At 6 mo many babies start to babble consonant sounds. Talk to your baby and read often to your baby.
