Yes: The only prerequisite for shingles is a prior infection with chickenpox or a dose of the vaccine. I have seen it in toddlers. It is less common with those who had the vaccine but still possible. Rare infant cases have been reported and likely reflect unrecognized infection during the pregnancy of both mother an infant.
