A member asked:

Does fatty liver affect drug efficacy or how well a patient responds to medications?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fatty liver: Yes, fatty liver can affect drug efficacy. If that is happening you need to see your gastroenterologist again. Not every patient with fatty liver will respond well to the same medication but it is hard to know that before any medication is prescribed. Any ongoing concerns please follow up with your doctor.
