A member asked:

Can i return to work while waiting for a kidney stone to pass? no pain at this time, pushing fluids. 6mm stone was diangnosed 5 days ago.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Work and stone: You can go back to work if you have no pain and, if you have no pain, perhaps the stone did pass. You should strain your urine to see if you can recover the stone and send it to a lab for its analysis to see what it is composed of. However, if you did not pass it and your pain recurs, you will need to go to an ER for pain control. Good luck.
