Braxton-Hicks: Lower back pain is very common at this stage of pregnancy. In fact it is expected. These practice contractions are called Braxton-Hicks and help the uterus get ready for the big event. Braxton-Hicks contractions can progress to real contractions when they become regular (by the clock) and last a minute or more. The uterus will become very firm like your forehead. It is ok if they go away also
