Seasonal flu: is very common viral infection. Usually the condition resolves on its own with home care. Drink water and get a good rest. NSAIDs (e.g. Aleve, Advil) or Tylenol (acetaminophen) are also recommended every 6 hours. If concerned, see your PCP for examination.

A few thoughts...: Althouh you might have an infection (toth or non-tooth related), yu may have had a reaction to some of the medicaments that were used for the procedure. Sometimes, the medication used between visits can leak out from under the temporary, irritating your tongue and/or throat. Let your dentist or endodontist know about your condition.
