Thyroid tsh was 5.02 started levothyroxine 50mcg just 3wks. how long before it starts to work? lost lot hair still falling. how long before it stops?

TSH: TSH was high and Levothyroxine is a very good treatment. If you do not think you are getting better please ask your doctor to re-check your thyroid levels. If that is too costly for you it should do you no harm if you alternate 1 tablet a day with one and a half tablets every other day for a week or so and see how you feel.
