Costochondritis: It's very possible that you have costochondritis .. An inflammation and swelling at the point where your rib meets the cartilage of your breast bone (sternum). Having recently had bronchitis, you may have coughed forcefully, causing swelling and pain at the articulation of the bone and cartilage. This condition usually resolved itself with anti inflammatory medicine, local ice and rest.
