Silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) not needed: Silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) contains a silver salt that reduces bacterial growth. Its used on severe burns and wounds to reduce infection. Its not needed for chapped lips, which is what your condition sounds like. Regular lip balm will work fine, and don't lick your lips. That will make things worse. You'll feel better in a couple days.

Nutrition or Denture: Could be an iron or vitamin (B6,,B12, Vit. C) deficiency. Could be a candida (yeast) infection in your denture. Are you using a denture paste adhesive - can cause a copper deficiency.
