A member asked:

Can new stitched wound due to normal birth delivery contract hiv via blood left on toilet seat cover and inner rim and stained water in toilet bowl?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I say "No": Your stitched wound is sealed by fibrin and is impervious to HIV unless something happened to re-open it. It's a wimpy virus. Congratulations on being a new mother.
