A member asked:

Can dissolvable stitches that become infected 3 separate times cause problems that will be lasting?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Should not : The length of time it takes the stitches to dissolve however will vary, and ranges from a week to six months. Most absorbable sutures used for skin closure dissolve within a month or so. Hope this helps!
