A member asked:

Do you always run a fever with the flu?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: First you need to be careful what you are calling the "flu". Many refer to stomach virus causing gastroenteritis as the flu and you may not run much fever with that but the true "flu" is really influenza which is a respiratory disease and almost always causes fever except in the extremely debilitated who may not be able mount much fever in response to a virus.
