Gastroenteritis: The most common cause of sudden onset of diarrhea and abdominal cramping pain is viral gastroenteritis. It usually gets better in a few days. Imodium (loperamide) AD will help reduce the diarrhea. If you have any blood in the stool or fever, or if not improving in a few days, you need to call or see your physician. It's important to drink plenty of fluids.Children need to use OralRehydrationSolution(Pedialyte)
