A 22-year-old female asked:
Sudden onset stomach cramps with stomach pain, weakness, headaches, feeling hot and cold, excess mucus in stool and bloating and weakness for 3 days. occurred few hours after eating chicken. is this food poisoning or the stomach flu?

Hard to say!: It could be either one, but if you ate undercooked or contaminated chicken, there's a chance of a bacterial infection. If you are still sick, call/see your doc today. Then if it turns out you have food poisoning, the source of that can be investigated to correct or put put a stop to the problem so no one else gets sick. There are other sources of food poisoning as well, of course. See/call MD

Could be : When you see your physician these are some of the things he or she will look for. Staph food poisoning could do this. It may be something unrelated to the chicken. Evaluation by your physician is important
