Tests for gluten: A gluten intolerance is generally nonspecific meaning you have symptoms after eating gluten. You might be inquiring about celiac disease which is a specific gluten related disease. To rule autoimmune disease. To rule this out a celiac panel blood test is generally done. This test looks for antibodies against gluten proteins such as gliadin. A negative test essentially rules out true celiac disease
