Amaurosis Fugax: The intermittent loss of vision=amaurosis fugax. Any loss of blood flow to the eye or rapid elevation in intraocular pressure can cause this kind of sudden, transient vision loss. In both cases, the vision loss might not come back after an episode, so see an ophthalmologist to evaluate for narrow angles or another cause of vision loss. In India, go to Aravind Eye Hospital.
