Simply get evaluated: Unless you are being evaluated as part of a forensic investigation, and/or someone else is paying for the evaluation, or you have specifically signed a release of information to make the information accessible to a third party, all of your medical information, including testing results, is confidential. Confidentiality is one of the fundamentals of the doctor-patient relationship.

Private pay : Confidentiality is complex. If insurance is billed, a diagnosis will be reported and this starts a chain. Some of our physician and attorney patients dont even write checks. While doctors can't normally release without a court order there are exceptions such as abuse, or if you someday you have a personal injury claim, require security clearance or use your mental status in a defense.
