Depends: Depends on what tests the psychologist uses. Some are good for kids till 22 years old, one can be used on people 6 years of age and above.

Never too old: More svere "autism spectrum disorder" will usually be diagnosed in childhood, with moderate or milder forms usually diagnosed on school entry age or adolescence. Milder forms could be missed in many individuals, and today we have tests for adults of all ages. In adults adaptive functioning measures, neuropsych testing, good clinical history, questionairres, and collateral info help w diagnosis.
