Observe: My guess is you are feeling the throbbing near the lymph node, not the node itself. It might be related to having the cold sore ... possibly related to nearby inflammation. I don't think it is immediately worrisome ... I think you could watch it a few days,

From cold sore: most likely inflamed node from cold sore. see your doctor if it persists
