Possible: Constipation is sometimes caused by illnesses which affects the motility of the entire digestive tract. However, this is unusual, and constipation is more often the result of a process affecting the colon itself rather than the rest of the intestines. A good start is to increase the amount of fiber and water intake. See your doctor if this does not help. Good luck.
