Cold sweats: For a few days the two of you should document what preceded the cold sweats and take that information to his doctor. It may not be easy to make a quick diagnosis and his doctor will take a complete history, do a physical exam, and order appropriate labs. A simple answer may not be forthcoming but your doctor will no doubt discuss this case with a colleague for further advice.
