Probably not.: To be clear, I am not an advocate at all for marijuana use. That said, a literature search confirmed my impression that the likelihood of it causing death is slim to none. One source cited 5 marijuana-related deaths in great britain over a 2-year period, but the proximal cause was inhaled vomit. That said, chronic, heavy use of marijuana is associated with a variety of negative outcomes.
