See remarks: Hydroceles can recur ,is the large swelling with fluid the same side of the hydrocele repair?? Swelling after surgery can occur and takes a month to go down...let us know how thingds are in a month

Post-op swelling: Considerable post-operative swelling occurs after hydrocelectomy. Scrotal skin is very distensible and allows accumulation of significant swelling especially after hydrocelectomy. It may take up to 6 weeks for swelling to completely resolve.
