Egg-smelling burps: are caused by sulfur-containing foods (red meat, eggs, dairy products, garlic, onions, cabbage, asparagus, broccoli). Cashews, bananas, coffee and cola are guilty as well. A GI infection with helicobacter or giardia may be to blame, medications, heavy meals full of complex proteins. Eat wisely, cutting back on the foods mentioned above. Stay well hydrated, add honey/lemon to a.m. warm water.
