Simple irregularity: Many times women's menstrual cycles can become irregular due to any number of factors. It sounds as if this is the case for you. If your periods remain erratic and irregular like this, see your physician. A typical work up includes blood work and an ultrasound of your pelvis.

Repeat the preg test: If u do not have your menstrual period within the next week u should repeat the test if still negative and this is the first time that this has happened and there are no changes in your health otherwise u should see your Gynecologist.
