A member asked:

I have a high level of billirubin in my blood. what foods should i avoid ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not the key: Don't treat a lab value. You need to find out why your bilirubin is up. If it's indirect and everything else is normal, you have Gilbert's which is a non-disease or hemolysis for which your physician should seek the cause. If liver enzymes are also up, or direct is too high, a workup is in order. Food choice is almost never the key to treating disease despite all the internet junk. Best wishes.
